That means, whether you’re hoping to get rid of a few flaws or make your smile look just like your favorite celebrity, it’s possible with porcelain veneers! They consist of extremely thin ceramic shells that are fitted over the front of the teeth, and you can get just one or a complete set custom-made in just two easy appointments.

Cosmetic Bonding

For a minor chip, stain, or gap, nothing will take care of it faster than cosmetic bonding. A color-matched composite resin will be applied to any discolored/missing enamel, and your dentist will use it to sculpt your tooth to absolute perfection, making any flaw seem like it was never there at all. The procedure only takes about an hour from start to finish, and you can look forward to the results lasting for 10 years or more.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQs

Here at Rowlett Dental Associates, our dentists can use personalized treatments to help you attain the smile of your dreams. Whether you’re looking to improve the shape, size, color, or proportion of your teeth, we have a way to accomplish those goals and boost your confidence. It’s completely natural to have a few questions before you begin the process. That’s why, for your convenience, we’ve answered a few frequently asked cosmetic dentistry questions below.

How Long Will the Results of Cosmetic Dentistry Last?

Each of our cosmetic services tends to have a different lifespan. Gum recontouring is the only one that is designed to deliver permanent results, as gum tissue does not grow back once it has been removed. With all of the other treatments, you can generally expect your results to last longer the better you take care of your teeth. As long as you brush and floss daily, and visit us at least twice a year for routine checkups and cleanings, you can expect to enjoy your new and improved smile for months or even years to come!

How Much Does Cosmetic Dentistry Cost?

Because multiple factors must be considered, there is no average cost of cosmetic dentistry. Essentially, the cost of your treatment will depend on the ways you’d like to improve your smile and which services you choose to undergo. Services that are quick and easy, like cosmetic bonding or teeth whitening, tend to cost less than personalized solutions like veneers. However, veneers often last longer and can correct a wider variety of imperfections.

During your consultation, we can weigh all of your treatment options, including their pricing information, and give you a cost estimate.

Does Dental Insurance Cover Cosmetic Dentistry?

It depends. In most cases, dental insurance will not cover the cost of cosmetic procedures because they are elective, but there are always exceptions to this rule. Some cosmetic services may overlap into restorative dentistry, which your plan may cover. If a cosmetic treatment is deemed necessary to restore or improve your oral health, such as a metal-free dental crown, they may cover a portion of the cost.

Our office is an in-network provider with Delta Dental, one of the most popular dental insurance plans in the country. However, we also accept plans that are out-of-network. We’ll even file your claims for you! We also can help you apply for a low-to-no interest payment plan through CareCredit.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Right for Me?

Most people who aren’t fully happy with the smile they see in the mirror would make great candidates for cosmetic dentistry. Generally, as long as your teeth and gums are healthy, you’re eligible for most of our cosmetic services. If you currently have cavities, gum disease, or other oral health issues, they must be addressed before moving forward with cosmetic treatment.
